Accommodation for Students

Students are accommodated in shared rooms with no more than four students per host family. Breakfast, packed lunch and dinner are included in the package price and will be provided by the host family. It is therefore important that students communicate with their host family about their food preferences.

Host families are an ideal way for students to learn about and experience life with a typical American host. Commute times can vary from 5 – 45 minutes and all host families are within an 8 mile radius of the school.

All host families involved with the Young Learner Programs have laundry facilities and will change all linens weekly. Students must bring their own towels.

Students are provided with their own key upon arrival at their host family, the replacement cost of which is USD 20. All LAL Young Learner participants must abide by the rules of their host family. Students who damage family property are responsible for repair or replacement. All students must provide a refundable damage/loss deposit of USD 30 or EUR 50 in cash upon arrival.
